DIVORCE FAQ'S

I am embarrassed talking to you about this:

We receive calls daily from people just like you. They suspect their spouse of infidelity, which is one of the most painful and devastating things that could happen to you. It is natural to want to learn the truth because of the time and effort that you placed into your relationship. You also have concerns that your health may be at risk if your spouse is having an affair. We understand your pain and will provide you with a free discreet and confidential consultation of your case.

What areas does Trinity Investigations cover?

We service clients in all areas of East Texas and North Louisiana. We will customize any investigation in order to meet a client's specific need or budget.

Do you require a retainer prior to starting the investigation?

Yes, like most private investigators we do require a retainer for domestic cases. We evaluate the retainer fee based on the amount of time and expenses that we determine that the investigation should take. We plan our investigation to give you the best opportunity to learn the truth while minimizing your cost. Unlike other investigative companies, we provide a refundable retainer on any unused portion of your retainer.

What kind of evidence is required to prove adultery?

Attorneys and judges have varying thoughts concerning this subject. As a general rule, you will need to prove Time, Inclination and Opportunity. The time spent together can be relatively short. Inclination can be as simple as a kiss, holding hands or other displays of affection that would be out of place. Opportunity can be spending the night with a person of the opposite sex while you are supposed to be working late. If your spouse is observed entering into an apartment, motel room or house of a party of the opposite sex, the investigator would need to spend the entire night to document that your spouse actually stayed with the other party.

What if I am Wrong?

Our investigations are discreet and 100% confidential. If our investigation determines that your suspicions were wrong, then you will have gained the peace of mind about your relationship without having risked your relationship.

Should I hire an attorney before hiring Trinity Investigations?

Usually, this is preferable, so we can work with your attorney to obtain the type and amount of evidence that they prefer. However, if you just have a need to know before making any decision, then you may want to discuss your options with us.

Should I file for the divorce before I hire you?

Your attorney should be able to advise you on the best course of action. However, if you do file for the divorce before hiring Trinity Investigations, your spouse will be alerted and it will make obtaining evidence more difficult. If you are in an abusive situation, you should make arrangements to leave as soon as possible and to meet with your attorney at the earliest opportunity. Do not risk your safety or the safety of your children.

What do I do once the investigation has started?

Nothing, it is important that you do not alert the subject that an investigation is being conducted. Do not change your habits and do not ask too many questions that may alert your spouse that an investigation is being conducted.
